How long have you been in business?
12 months
What inspired you to start this business?
My family. After having children I didn’t want to go back to a corporate job. I wanted to be present and not away from them in a traditional 9-5 job. I also wanted to do something with more heart, which led me to Intimo’s new service offering opportunity.
What is one misconception people have about what you do?
That it is for bra fittings only! I also offer personal styling to help women dress with ease as well as being comfortable and stylish. The Intimo range now covers sleepwear to occasion wear. As part of the service, I offer a complementary 90min fitting and styling experience.
What is the most rewarding part of what you do?
Seeing my clients faces light up and the visible changes in their postures when they find something that they actually feel good in – as well as being comfortable! My clients often come in feeling glum that nothing fits them anymore and bored with their style and to see the change when they leave feeling more confident in themselves is the best feeling.
What is the best compliment you have received from a client?
I love hearing the ‘ooh’s’ and the ‘aah’s’ that come out of the changing room – a great indication that they are happy.
